Sukkot/Shabbat Bulletin for 09/30/2023
Hello Brothers and Sisters in Messiah Yeshua! We have a very special Shabbat coming up, for it aligns with Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, and the day on which many people believe Yeshua was born because of the Scriptural account in Luke 1, 1 Chronicles 24:7-9, John 1:14, 2 Peter 1:14 and 2 Corinthians 5:1. Here's what's coming up for our two-day feast and beyond for the week of Sukkot. Please read through everything, for there is a lot planned and a lot of work that has gone into preparation for these celebrations:
* Torah Portion readings for this week are Leviticus 22:26-23:44; Zechariah 14:1-21; Ecclesiastes 1-12; Luke 2:1-20; Revelation 7:1-10: https://tinyurl.com/2pfayfx2.
* On Preparation Day (tomorrow morning 9/29/23), Pastor Andrew will be at the church (60 Bailey Ave., Manchester, NH) around 10 a.m. to set up the Sukkah (Tabernacle). It would be great if folks could come by and help us set up and decorate.
* As a church, will meet around sundown 6:30 p.m. on 9/29/23 to bring in Shabbat and the Holy Feast Day of Sukkot, and then we will share food and fellowship in the Tabernacle to celebrate with the Lord.
* The next day, we will meet around 11 a.m. to pray and prepare for our Sabbath/Sukkot festival on Shabbat 9/30/23. THERE WILL NOT BE A FIRST FRUITS LIVE STREAM SERVICE THIS SHABBAT. While Pastor Andrew will have words for the congregation throughout the day, and we will have worship music, the plan is to just be in fellowship with the Lord and participate in Corner Fringe Ministries Live Stream service alone.
* We will livestream Corner Fringe's service at noon: https://cornerfringeministries.subspla.sh/cs797bp (YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/live/iko-q2JH7IA?si=02iARnagqcCl-Qa1). Daniel will be bringing us Part 4 in his series on Psalm 27, and we will be participating in Sukkot liturgy. THIS LIVESTREAM WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE SUKKAH AND NOT INSIDE THE BUILDING.
* Following the livestream, we will have fellowship, food and more Bible readings and worship. You are welcome to stay in the Sukkah as long as you'd like, though we cannot sleep there.
* On the First Day of the Week, 10/1/2023, we will be gathering at the Church in the Parking Lot for the Community Swap and outreach event we are working on in concert with Calvary Chapel: https://fb.me/e/4IbeDl7Mj. Please bring your wares and prepare to witness for Yeshua to the larger community. Please invite people to come and pray inside the Sukkah and learn more about Yeshua if that is what the Spirit leads you to do. Our proceeds will be going toward support of Calvary's basement repair. * Members are also invited to attend Pat Dimond's funeral service in Claremont on 10/1/23, which begins at 2 p.m. at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St., Claremont, NH 03743. Around 4 p.m. food will be offered to those who attend.
* Corner Fringe Ministries has produced a Daily Devotional for use during Sukkot, which you can download here: https://tinyurl.com/34vszwbd. I have printed out 10 copies, and would ask that you print out a copy, keep one digitally, or take one printout per family so that we can have copies available to share with any guests during the week as people come in to the Sukkah.
* During the rest of the week of Sukkot, Andrew will be intermittently spending time at the Sukkah to welcome potential visitors from the community. You are all welcome to join him. Women should come with a friend or family member.
* For Shemini Atzeret (the Eighth Day) on 10/7/2023, we will be back in the church at 60 Bailey Ave., Manchester, NH for a regular Shabbat service, though we will have a special message prepared for the magnitude of this day. After Shabbat (10/8/2023), Pastor Andrew would appreciate help taking down the Sukkah so we can store it properly for next year.
