Bulletin for Yom Kippur & Shabbat 10/12/24

Shalom Brothers and Sisters in Messiah Yeshua. Please pray for humble hearts to confess sin, merciful hearts to forgive others, and yearning hearts for our loved ones who don't know Yeshua and His Torah to come into the faith. Pray for the LORD's blood atonement to keep us walking in His Way and fleeing from every form of sin.

First Fruits Ministries will come together for Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), which is also the LORD's weekly Sabbath celebration, two Holy Convocation Days in one, on 10/12/2024 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 60 Bailey Ave., Manchester, NH 03104 for a time of rest in the Lord.

Yom Kippur is a day of affliction, which First Fruits Ministries and Corner Fringe Ministries interprets as a day of prayer and fasting—meaning no food and no water from sundown on Friday until sundown on Saturday. Young children, the elderly and medically compromised individuals are excused from the fast, but we ask that no attendant openly consume or display any food or drink on Yom Kippur. We will not have food or drink available for our gathering. Congregants are also invited to wear white clothing as a memorial pointing forward to the day when we will all stand in white robes before our King Messiah Yeshua. Though our sins were like scarlet, now they are as white as snow when we are walking in faith with Messiah Yeshua.

During our First Fruits Ministries Yom Kippur and Sabbath service this week, which begins promptly at 10:30 a.m., Pastor Andrew will deliver a message loosely based on the Torah Portion Readings for this week, which are called "Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement)": Exodus 34:28-29; Leviticus 16:1-34; Leviticus 23:27; Numbers 29:7; Isaiah 57:14-58:14; Jonah 1:1-4:11; Matthew 25:31-46; Hebrews 10:1-14.

We prefer for you to be with us in person in fellowship, but if that is not possible, you can join us remotely by following this link: https://www.youtube.com/@firstfruitsNH/streams.

We will be having an extended liturgy for Yom Kippur on Shabbat, and because there will be no food or drink, our fellowship may not be festive like usual. However, we do intend to host fellowship in between services sometime after our service completes until about 2-3 p.m., at which time we will head upstairs for the second service. Again, PLEASE DO NOT bring food or drink this week.

Second Service

Following fellowship, sometime between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., First Fruits Ministries will replay the Corner Fringe Ministries "rewind" online service in the sanctuary. During that service, Pastor Daniel Joseph will present the next part in his sermon series, called: "Parables, Part 13: A Merciful King" Join us in person at First Fruits Ministries or join Corner Fringe online at your convenience: https://www.youtube.com/live/8ug8k09Uddk.

The Fall Feasts Are Upon Us!

Yom Kippur is 10/12/2024, and this year's Holy Convocation Day is aligned with the Sabbath this week, making it a High Shabbat. As usual, you should take off of work and join us in fellowship for this Holy Convocation Day as well as for the First Day of Sukkot on 10/17, and for Shemini Atzaret on 10/24.

We will be setting up a 20'x16' Sukkah in the Congregation's parking lot for Sukkot this year from 10/17 through 10/24 (to be taken down on the 25th), and Pastor Andrew will spend time there every day. The 10/17 and 10/19 convocations will be held in the Sukkah, and we will gather there as if we are in the building and practice similar activities, TBD. You are welcome to join Pastor Andrew on the other days for fellowship, for prayer, or for a meal, and if he isn't there, please feel free to enjoy the presence of the LORD during this Holy Festival and spend time in fellowship inside the Sukkah with whomever else is present. If you have ideas on how to bring people who are not of our congregation into the Sukkah to celebrate with us, as the LORD commands in His Word, please let Pastor Andrew know. Please also let Pastor Andrew know if you can help him set up on the 16th or tear down on the 25th.

Feel free to also download our guide for the 2025 feast days so you can prepare for the Spring feasts that are just around the corner.
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord shine the light of His face upon you and be gracious to you; and may the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and grant you shalom!

יאר יהוה פניו אליך ויחנך
ישא יהוה פניו אליך וישם לך שׁלום

As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord.
